Within the next five years, Salish Renewables is committed to helping communities generate power through solar energy.
We believe electricity is not a luxury; it is something every family should be able to rely on. There should never be times when our elders, our children, or our neighbors are left in the dark because the power grid fails or outside systems fall short. Too often, we depend on others for food, water, power, and shelter. When those systems break down, we are reminded how little control we truly have.
Our ancestors taught us how to live from this land. We know how to fish. We know how to navigate and care for the waters. We know how to gather, build, and provide. We have always understood self-sufficiency. The one thing we have not controlled — until now — is electricity. By investing in solar energy, we take back that control. This is a step toward the kind of independence our ancestors would recognize: providing for ourselves, protecting our people, and ensuring that the lights stay on because we made it so.
